CAREERS

Wisdom, told with care and integrity, can open hearts and change lives.

Wisdom, shared with care

Wholehearted is building a body of work that honors the wisdom of great teachers and helps people understand themselves, connect more fully, and through that process, support healing and growth.

We work with respected voices in trauma, addiction, and mental health to share their life’s work in ways that are useful and accessible. It started as a side project among friends and turned into an organization shaped by passion, trust, and relationships.

OPEN POSITIONS

Marketing Lead

Help us shape and lead our marketing. Clarify our message, use what we already have, and build thoughtful systems that help more people discover what we’ve created.

Social Media Manager

We’re looking for someone with strong experience, sound judgment, and clear communication to grow and engage an audience with intention and integrity.

Graphic Designer / Artist

Wholehearted values great graphic design and art. We're looking to hire multiple artists and designers.

“I can’t say Wholehearted is my life’s purpose. But my closest friends and people I love helped build this with me. And most days feel like a reunion, not work. That’s close enough for me.”
– AJ Foxx, Founder

What It Feels Like To Work here

We’re a team. Everyone’s contribution connects to something larger and complex. We support each other, take risks, embrace failure, and share success. We are not competitive. We learn and grow together.

Collaborative by nature

Wholehearted is collaborative. From the way we develop ideas, to how we produce and refine each program, it is a shared process. The work is shaped by conversation, curiosity, and willingness to fail and keep trying. Every program, every asset, every event is something we create together.

Production

A big part of what we do is produce live masterclasses. These are not ordinary shoots. They are collaborations with experts to bring their life’s work to the stage. We produce and record as a team. We design the entire experience, from the space to the set, to the technical production. It is creative, hands-on work and when it all comes together, it becomes something we can be proud to share.

What's In It For You

We’ve tried to make Wholehearted a good place to work. You will have your own space, a comfortable environment, good snacks, and a supportive team. But more than that, this is a place where you can bring your whole self, learn and grow, and be part of something that might change you for the better, because that is what it does for the rest of us.

How to know if you are a good fit

Wholehearted is not an assembly line. This is not just a job. It’s a home for creative, thoughtful, and caring people. If you want to be part of a team that values trust, collaboration, and openness, you may be a good fit here. If you are only looking for a paycheck or a remote gig, this is not the place for you.

Internships

We never set out to offer internships, but students keep asking, and we are open to it. If you want to learn about real-world production, publishing, editing, or creative teamwork in a hands-on way, and you care about the kind of work we do, we would be happy to hear from you.

I don't see a job opening that fits

If you do not see a job opening that fits, but you have skills or ideas that could help us, we would want to hear from you. Whether it is a new role, a new idea, or something we could be doing better, do not wait for a posting. Reach out and tell us.

Frequently Asked Questions

We produce video programs, books, and live events with trusted voices in trauma, addiction, healing, and personal growth. Day to day, this means writing, editing, design, video production, animation, sound, photography, marketing, social media, community work, and everything it takes to run a small, creative team. The work is collaborative and hands-on. Everyone here contributes.

We are not a client service company. We are self-funded. No one hires us or pays us to create programs. We choose the work, the collaborators, and how it is done. This allows us to focus on quality, usefulness, and honesty - as we define it. We do what we want, with people we trust, on our terms and timeline. And we care a great deal about how we treat our team and partners.

Yes. Some of our team are full-time, some part-time, some on contract. We build around the right people.

Most of our work happens in person, at our office and on production shoots. It makes the work stronger, and the team healthier. Some tasks can be done remotely when it makes sense, but if you are looking for a remote job, this is not the place.

We do not run on a strict schedule. Some people work early, some later. What matters is enough overlap to collaborate and move things forward. Trust, good judgment, and reciprocity matter most. If you prioritize Wholehearted, Wholehearted will prioritize you. We work Tuesday through Friday, so every week has a three-day weekend.

Yes. We do not believe in free work. Interns are paid for their time and treated as part of the team. We do not offer formal internship programs, but we are open to ideas. Volunteer work is welcome too, if that is your choice.

Not really. People here wear many hats and help in ways that are necessary. How you think, work, and collaborate is more important than what is printed on a business card.

Creative thinkers. People who can dream big, then break it into steps and make it happen. People who balance ideas with action. Organized, clear communicators. Flexible, open-minded, curious. People who naturally write things down and think ahead. Who find ways to improve the work and the process. Those who care about what they do. Who value integrity, team spirit, and helping others grow. If you want to be part of a team where your voice matters and your contributions make a difference, you will do well here.

Clock punchers, coasters, and folks just looking for an easy paycheck; please apply elsewhere. If this is just a stepping stone to something else, or if you want remote work with no accountability, this is not the place. People who struggle to collaborate, take feedback poorly, stir up conflict, or bring an “all about me” mindset will not do well here. If you need to tell others how to address you, need to always get your way to feel validated, or bring strong ideological pressure that affects the team, this is not a match. We are gentle when things come up, but we are not a vessel for forcing a worldview on others. Values and interests should already align. We are not rigid, but to be able to dance together, it helps to start on the right foot with music we both enjoy.

  • A personal cover letter (not AI), to tell us who you are, why this feels like a fit, and start a conversation. It does not need to be perfect; just real. We have received (and enjoyed) comic strips, videos, and other creative introductions in place of a letter.
  • Your resume, portfolio, and a short note explaining what you are sharing and why it matters.

If there is a connection, we may ask you to complete a short, custom questionnaire. If that looks promising, we will set up a 15-minute pulse check with one of our team leads. If that goes well, you will be invited to a full interview and conversation with our founder, AJ.

Yes. If you have skills, ideas, or experience that could help us, we want to hear from you. Tell us who you are, what you do, and what you think you could bring to Wholehearted.
