Continuing Education Policies, Procedures, and Grievances for Wholehearted/RecoveryBookstore
Online CE Courses:
It is Wholehearted/Recovery Bookstore’s goal to provide high-quality education experiences. In accordance with this, we want to ensure that our customers find our courses to be of high quality and to be helpful, beneficial, and up-to-date. We aim to ensure our customers are satisfied (even thrilled!) with the quality and experience of using our CEU courses. We offer detailed samples of all of our course materials prior to purchase, which allows you to evaluate each course prior to purchase.
Once you have purchased an online course from us, you will have access to our exclusive video content (for many courses), downloadable course review materials, and, for some courses, access to client handouts and worksheets you can use with your clients.
Because we include access to detailed previews of our course materials prior to purchase, and access to download and keep course materials upon purchase, we generally do not offer refunds once a purchase has been made.
However, if you are not satisfied with the quality of a course, we would like to hear from you so that we can work with you to meet your satisfaction. And if you have technical issues which we are unable to resolve, and we determine that you have not been able to access the materials, we will, on a case-by-case basis, provide a refund or credit when we deem it appropriate.
In-person CE courses:
Wholehearted/Recovery Bookstore reserves the right to cancel a Continuing Education program and refund all fees in the event of insufficient registration.
Students who cancel their registration will receive a 100% refund if cancelled at least thirty days prior to the program start date. If cancelled less than thirty days, but more than five days prior to program start date, students may apply for a credit equal to 100% of the amount paid. If cancelled less than 5 days prior to program start date, students may apply for a credit equal to 50% of the amount paid. Credit must be used within one year. No refunds or credits are offered for students that give less 5 days notice, or who do not attend the training or class.
Customer Satisfaction:
If you take one of our CE classes, either online or in person, and find that it does not meet your expectations or needs, please contact us so that we can discuss your concerns. Our goal is to make you happy, and exceed your expectations.

Awarding of CE Credit, and Issuance of Course Completion Certificates
CE credit is awarded for actual time spent engaged in learning activities.
For online courses, Credit hour designations for CE credits will be awarded based on the actual running time of video or audio course material provided, in one-hour increments; a single CE hour shall be 60 minutes in duration. For written materials, credit is awarded based on accepted standards of pages per hour (typically 4-5 pages per CE hour, depending on density of the written material). Courses which include a combination of video and written materials will combine the standard of actual running time for video or audio material provided with accepted standards of pages per hour for written material to arrive at a total number of CEs that accurately reflects the time invested by the licensee in completing the course requirements. Course completion certificates are issued instantly upon completion of the course, exams or written requirements, and course evaluation; they are emailed to the student’s registered email and are also available for downloading on wholehearted.org. Should you need a copy of a certificate for a course previously taken, you may contact us at [email protected] or call 916-864-1110 and we will be happy to assist you. Inquiries are responded to within 24 hours.
For In-person CE courses, credit hours are awarded based on the actual time spent engaged in learning activities, such as attending lectures, participating in supervised experiential activities, completing written exercises, and the like. CE hours are not awarded for non-educational activities such as lunch breaks (unless in a “lunch-and-learn” setting where learning activities occur during the serving of the meal), periodic breaks, or other non-instructional time spent in the course classroom. Course completion certificates are issued for student pick-up at the closure of the course, upon completion of the course evaluation and any written requirements or exams. Should you need a copy of a certificate for a course previously taken, you may contact us at [email protected] or call 916-864-1110 and we will be happy to assist you. Inquiries are responded to within 24 hours.
